BBiomedica Solutions for Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs)

Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs) mark a new chapter in medicine. Beyond traditional small molecules and biologics, ATMPs use living cells, viral vectors and genetic information to create highly targeted therapies. These innovative approaches leverage a patient’s individual genetic profile to address complex diseases such as certain cancers, inherited disorders and chronic conditions where conventional treatment options are limited or not available.

ATMPs progress through a demanding development pathway – from early in vitro research and preclinical studies to clinical development and routine application under strict quality, safety and efficacy requirements.

Biomedica supports this entire continuum with a comprehensive portfolio of products and technologies for all major ATMP categories – gene therapies, somatic cell therapies and tissue‑engineered products – as well as solutions for environmental monitoring, microbiology and sterility testing.

Please note: Not all products are available in all Biomedica subsidiaries.

Gene therapy medicines deliver recombinant genes into target cells to achieve therapeutic, and in some cases prophylactic or diagnostic, effects. They are investigated and used in oncology, monogenic diseases and various chronic indications.
